Last night, a fire in a home on Old Roane Street in Harriman resulted in no injuries and an electrical cord issue to a dryer. Harriman Fire responded with assistance from Rockwood and Kingston Fire units as well.

The call came in around 9:30, and upon the arrival of the Harriman Fire Department, they turned back Rockwood and Kingston as they were en route. The fire was inside the home, in a laundry room, where the dryer cord apparently caused the response.

No major damage was done and Fire department Crews stayed on the scene for about 30 minutes for the investigation.

No injuries were reported.
