FIREARMS STOLEN FROM MARKET STREET RESIDENCE IN CRAB ORCHARD
Cumberland County deputies responded to a Market Street residence in Crab Orchard Sunday for a report of stolen guns.
The 52-year-old resident and his 23-year-old son, who lives elsewhere in Crab Orchard, both reported firearms stolen from the Market Street home, sometime between the hours of 3 a.m. and 10 p.m. Saturday.
The father said he realized their guns were missing when he noticed the door to his bedroom closet was open.
Stolen were a .22-caliber Vega Garcia rifle and a .22-caliber revolver belonging to the father and a 12-gauge Stevens single-shot shotgun belonging to the son. The shotgun was taken from a gun cabinet in a bedroom.
There was no sign of forced entry into the home. There are no suspects at this time.
