Firefighters responded last night to 1432 Oakdale Highway in Harriman for a structure blaze. When crews got to the scene near the Morgan/Roane county line, they reported the fire was in the basement and all occupants were out and safe. It reportedly started in the laundry room downstairs and filled the upstairs with smoke. Some damage was noted to the dwelling and no injuries were reported.
