Crossville firefighters responded to Cracker Barrel around 5:30 this morning for a reported small blaze. The restaurant was evacuated before fire crews arrived. Crossville Fire Assistant Chief Chris South told 105.7 News the blaze originated in the vent system over the deep fryer. Firefighters arrived just as the fire started to extend to the roof and extinguished it. The restaurant resumed operations later this morning. No injuries were reported.
