FIVE INJURED IN VEHICLE ACCIDENT ON HIGHWAY 70 WEST IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY
Five people were injured in a two-vehicle accident early this week in Cumberland County. According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol’s report released late this afternoon, troopers say a 1980 Chevrolet Suburban driven by 49-year-old Richard Patton of Crossville pulled out into the path of a 2014 GMC Yukon driven by 70-year-old William Caskey of Sparta at the intersection of Highway 70 West and Pomona Road. Troopers say two 13-year-olds and one 14-year-old in Patton’s vehicle were transported to Cumberland Medical Center for treatment of possible injuries. Caskey and a passenger in his vehicle, 19-year-old Allison Caskey of Sparta, were also taken to Cumberland Medical Center for treatment.
