(FOLLOW-UP STORY) – A Crossville man is improving at U.T. Medical Center after being struck last Saturday night by a vehicle. Hospital officials told 105.7 News this afternoon 46-year-old Shamus McMahon is now in stable condition. Immediately after the incident, he was flown to Knoxville and initially listed in critical condition.

The accident report states a 2010 Dodge Caravan driven by 60-year-old Dale Adams Rice of Crossville was traveling south on West Avenue at 4th Street when 46-year-old Shamus McMahon of Crossville walked out into the intersection as Rice had a green light. McMahon, who was wearing dark clothing, was hit resulting in him going airborne and landing on the road.
