A former Cumberland County commissioner has passed away. V.J. Dodson, age 88, of Pleasant Hill not only served as commissioner but held seats on the Cumberland County Farm Bureau and several agriculture committees. Funeral services for Dodson will be tomorrow evening (Saturday, August 4, 2018) at 6 p.m. at Hood Funeral Home in Crossville. The family will receive friends from 3 to 6 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home. Burial will be held on Sunday, August 5th at New Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
