A man has paid back money that went missing while he served as Cumberland County Veterans Service officer. Mark Daniels was indicted back in late 2013 and later entered a plea of best interest. Daniels was ordered to repay near $100,000 in restitution. Daniels paid half of it when he entered the plea, and had to pay $700 a month of the remaining balance in lieu of a 8-year prison sentence, which was suspended to supervised probation.
