FOUR BRAND NEW TIRES STOLEN FROM CROSSVILLE PORCH HOURS AFTER DELIVERY
The Crossville Police Department is investigating the theft of a brand-new set of truck tires, valued at over $750, which were stolen directly from a local resident’s front porch on Thursday.
According to police reports, Officer Amy Sherrill responded to a residence at E. First St. at approximately 6:50 PM on June 25, 2026, following a report of a theft.
The victim, told authorities he had ordered a set of four Americus Rugged A/TR Rugged Terrain Tires from Walmart.com. He then provided police with a delivery confirmation photograph sent by FedEx at approximately 9:30 AM, which clearly showed the tires sitting on his front porch.
However, when the victim returned home from work around 6:00 PM, the porch was empty. An order invoice confirmed the total value of the stolen property was $757.54.
“There are no known suspects at this time,” Officer Sherrill noted in the report.
A preliminary sweep of the immediate area yielded no immediate leads. Investigators checked the victim’s property and neighboring residences but found no security cameras that might have captured the incident.
The Crossville Police Department has officially approved the report and is keeping the case active. Anyone with information regarding the theft or the whereabouts of the distinct rugged terrain tires is encouraged to contact local authorities.
