FOUR INJURED IN BOATING ACCIDENT ON DOUGLAS LAKE

The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency is investigating a boating accident yesterday on Douglas Lake that left four injured. Officers say a 2011 23-foot Mastercraft operated by 21-year-old Brandon Watson was traveling upstream from Douglas Dam in the area of Harbor Crest Condominiums and Cowboy’s Seafood Restaurant when the boat hit one of the small islands near the TVA Big Island. Watson, along with 21-year-old Blake Dutton, 21-year-old Emily Yow and 19-year-old Taylor Creech were hurt in the incident and transported to U.T. Medical Center for treatment of injuries sustained. The incident remains under investigation.
