FUGITIVE FROM ILLINOIS ARRESTED IN CROSSVILLE
A routine traffic stop in Cumberland County Friday resulted in the arrest of a fugitive. Deputies stopped a black Dodge Dakota on Highway 70 East for a seatbelt violation. A check of the license of the driver, 36-year-old Tyler James Shaffer of Crossville, showed he was wanted by the Department of Corrections in Illinois for a parole violation. A search of the vehicle allegedly revealed a small amount of drugs. Shaffer was arrested and taken to the Cumberland County jail.
