Cumberland County deputies stopped a vehicle traveling eastbound on I-40 at mile marker 323.6 for a registration violation Monday night. A warrants check through dispatch revealed the driver, 45-year-old Christopher Lee Carswell of Reno, Nevada, had an outstanding warrant from North Carolina. Carswell was taken to the Cumberland County jail, where he was placed under $200,000 bond. He has a court appearance scheduled for February 24.
