FUNERAL SERVICES SET FOR HARRY SABINE AND SALLY MAYBERRY

Funeral services are set for a former Cumberland County commissioner and former Crossville business woman.

Seventy-eight year old Harry Sabine passed away last week. Sabine was a lawyer in Cumberland County since 1968, a 2014 inductee in the Cumberland County High School Hall of Fame, a three term county commissioner and instrumental in bringing the U.S. Chess Federation to Crossville. A memorial service for Harry Sabine will be held Sunday, August 11, 2019 at 3 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Community Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Harry’s memory to the Art Circle Public Library in Crossville or the Cumberland County Chess Club.

Ninety-four year old Sally Mayberry passed away late last week. She ran Mayberry’s Interiors in Crossville. She also was active with Mayberry’s Complete Home Furnishings in Crossville shortly after it opened in 1946. She is the mother of current Crossville City Mayor James Mayberry. Funeral services for Sally Mayberry will be Tuesday (August 6, 2019) at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church on Main Street in Crossville. Burial will follow in Green Acres Cemetery. The family will receive friends from noon until 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
