GIBSON KILLED IN VEHICLE CRASH ON HIGHWAY 127

The Tennessee Highway Patrol says 67-year-old Martin Gibson of Crossville passed away in a vehicle accident yesterday in Bledsoe County. He was operating a 2013 Honda Insight around 4:30 p.m. when he ran off Highway 127 South and hit a tree near Brea Road. Troopers say Gibson was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of impact.

Gibson was a well-known music director in Cumberland County. For the past several years he served in that role with the Fairfield Glade United Methodist Church. He previously was the choral director at Cumberland County High School from 1982 until 2001.
