SEARCH FOR HALL IN CROSSVILLE ENDS WITH HIS ARREST

The hunt for a wanted suspect spanning hours in Crossville yesterday ended around 6 p.m. last night with his arrest.

According to warrants obtained this morning, it started after 30-year-old Vankeith Antwon Hall of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida was in the commission of trying to use a stolen identification at First National Bank. Hall fled the scene in an automobile and ran a responding police officer’s cruiser off the roadway.

Hall later crashed the mini-van in the yard of a residence and he ran down North Hills Drive towards Genesis Road. He was captured in a wooded area after an extensive hunt by law enforcement.

The report states the license plate of the Nissan Quest Hall was driving was made from construction paper and stickers.

Hall was taken to the Cumberland County jail and charged with evading arrest and altering, falsifying, or forging a license plate. He was initially placed under a total of $12,000 bond and is scheduled to make his first court appearance July 26, 2021 in general sessions court.

Hall has been arrested in the past in Knox County for auto burglary.

A search for a second male suspect (African American male wearing a white shirt) believed to be connected to the incident lasted into the afternoon and evening winding up in the area of Genesis Road near Colinx. As of this morning (Thursday, May 27, 2021), that subject remained at large.
