Cumberland County deputies went to the drag strip on the 1,600 block of Creston Road yesterday to take a theft report. The owner arrived to find a gate open and reviewed his security footage. It showed two suspects cut the lock off the gate, ran across the parking lot to where a golf cart and a 4-wheeler was located and took both. The golf cart was later recovered in a small drainage pond near the scene. The case remains under investigation.
