GOV. LEE PROPOSES $1.7 MILLION FOR NEW SCIENCE LAB AT CUMBERLAND COUNTY ROANE STATE CAMPUS
Tennessee Governor Bill Lee proposed today $1.7 million for a new science lab at the Roane State Community College Cumberland County campus. No further information was initially released regarding the project.
The budget amendment for the proposed 2021-2022 budget also includes $100 million for a two-week sales tax holiday on all grocery sales, purchases at restaurants and all prepared food.
It includes $580 million in available funds as a result of fiscal prudence. These funds will be invested in strategic long-term projects that focus on a return to pre-pandemic priorities and deliver critical services while not growing government.
