A subject facing charges of aggravated kidnapping, aggravated assault, and reckless endangerment was arraigned in Cumberland County Criminal Court Monday after being indicted. The counts against 57-year-old George E. Hardin stem from an alleged incident in May of this year where Hardin used a firearm to shoot just over the head of a woman he abducted. Officials say he was out on parole for a 1990 first-degree murder, armed robbery, and rape out of Lauderdale County at the time of the kidnapping in Cumberland County. In court Monday, Judge Gary McKenzie set Hardin’s next court date of January 22, 2020.
