A Cumberland County grand jury handed down a four count indictment against a subject yesterday. Court documents state 57-year-old George E. Hardin faces charges of aggravated kidnapping, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. The counts stem from an alleged incident in May of this year where Hardin used a firearm to shoot just over the head of a woman he abducted. Hardin is set to be arraigned in Cumberland County Criminal Court on September 13, 2019. Officials say he was out on parole for a 1990 first-degree murder, armed robbery, and rape out of Lauderdale County, Tennessee at the time of the kidnapping in Cumberland County.
