HARRIMAN CITY COUNCIL CALLS FOR MEETING WITH COMCAST ON CONTRACT MEANING
The Harriman City Council has decided to hold off on accepting the annual Comcast Franchise agreement allowing the TV and Internet service provider the right to operate within the city. The contract is 6 months past due, but according to Vice Mayor Lonnie Wright neither he nor the council should be in a hurry to sign off on it. He says that he would like to see a representative from the company explain the contract. Wright has been very outspoken about what he calls, “the company’s poor service record.” A request has been made to Comcast to attend the council’s next work session and talk about the issue.
