HARRIMAN DEDICATES BRIDGE TO CURTIS ANDERSON

On August 15, 2025, the City of Harriman dedicated a bridge to Curtis Anderson, a beloved local figure whose lifelong connection to the community and the bridge itself was celebrated.
As a young boy, Anderson watched his father maintain the bridge, fostering a deep love for Harriman and a commitment to service. His remarkable life includes induction into the National Baseball Hall of Fame as a member of the Negro League, having played for the Birmingham Black Barons alongside legends like Hank Aaron and Willie Mays.
Despite these achievements, Anderson’s heart remains tied to Harriman, where his faith, kindness, and integrity have made him a community cornerstone. The bridge dedication honors his lifetime of care, faith, and service, reflecting Harriman’s gratitude for his enduring contributions.
