A Harriman High School student who is battling a brain tumor and his grandmother, who has breast cancer, received an unforgettable and much-needed gift just in time for Christmas. The family’s current mode of transportation, an old van that had become unreliable, caused the family to miss several important medical appointments. The son, Ethaniel Smith, signed up for his school’s Angel Tree program and had only asked for a pair of jeans and a video game. Instead, he and his mother Renae received much more.  The community came together. pitching in to buy and donate a truck to the family. The donor of the truck wished to remain anonymous.
