One man was killed and another injured in a two-car head-on crash in Anderson County Friday evening. Thirty-six-year-old Timothy Gribble of Clinton was traveling south when he veered into the northbound lane of Clinton Highway, near the intersection with Shepard Lane, and struck a car driven by 64-year-old Robert West just before 5:30. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts.
Gribble, who was injured in the crash, was charged with vehicular homicide and DUI.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol report indicates Gribble tested positive for drugs, but not alcohol, at the time of the crash.
