HARRIMAN POLICE CAPTURE ARMED ROBBER LESS THAN AN HOUR AFTER HOLDUP
Harriman Police say that an armed robbery suspect was taken into custody less than an hour after he performed the alleged crime. Authorities were called to the CVS Pharmacy on South Roane Street shortly after 12:30 PM Tuesday for the report of a man walking into the store and apparently handing the pharmacist a note demanding a large amount of Oxycodone and pulling out a gun. His demands were met with the suspect then fleeing the scene. Investigators watched a surveillance video of the subject and then sent out a BOLO with a description. The suspect matching the description drove past Roane County Investigators on Highway 70 in Midway. They stopped the vehicle and placed 31-year-old William Folger, under arrest. Officers discovered evidence of the robbery in and around the vehicle. Folger, who was originally from Kentucky, was charged with aggravated robbery and possession of drug paraphernalia.
