8 inches of rain have fallen near the Cookeville area since last Sunday with over 7 inches in parts of Bledsoe and Rhea counties and 6 inches in Cumberland County. Rain will continue this afternoon and it will be heavy at times. A flash flood watch is in effect for all of East Tennessee with a flash flood warning for Rhea and Meigs County. The chance of rain drops to 20% on Friday and we have a great weekend coming with sunshine and temperatures in the 70s.
