While performing extra patrol in the area of Mayland Baptist Church recently, a Cumberland County deputy was flagged down by 35-year-old Ryan Marshall Halmontaller of Crossville. What happened next surprised the officer. Halmontaller allegedly handed the deputy a glass container and said “here’s you some dope, Merry Christmas.” The arrest report states Halmontaller was sweating profusely, shaking uncontrollably and had meth on him. He was charged with manufacture, sale and delivery of meth and public intoxication.
