HIGH-SPEED CHASE ENDS WITH CRASH AND ARREST IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY
A high-speed chase involving Cumberland County deputies and a motorcyclist ended with a crash and an arrest. Deputies say 36-year-old Thomas Mack Arnold was recently traveling on I-40 at speeds over 90 miles per hour. When the officer attempted to stop Arnold, he reportedly accelerated to over 110 miles per hour. Arnold got off the interstate at the Crab Orchard exit where a passenger jumped off his motorcycle. Arnold continued until he lost control in a curve on Main Street in Crab Orchard and crashed. Arnold was charged with reckless endangerment, evading arrest and violation of probation.
