A high-speed pursuit in Crossville late this morning ended with at least one confirmed injury.

Witnesses told 3B Media News the chase started in the parking lot of Tractor Supply. The suspect drove out of the Highland Square parking lot, crossed over Sparta Highway, and went into the National Guard Armory parking lot.

The suspect got on Sparta Highway going east onto Elmore Road. The pursuit involving city and county law enforcement ended with a three-vehicle crash at the corner of Elmore Road and North Main Street next to the parking lot of Goodwill.

The vehicle driven by the suspect ended up on its side next to a vehicle it crashed into.

A third vehicle involved, sustained front-end damage and came to rest on the sidewalk next to Main Street.

The suspect was flown to an area trauma center for treatment of serious injuries.

It is not known if the other two drivers were hurt.

No officers were initially reported injured in the pursuit.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the accident and the circumstances leading up to the crash.

Northbound traffic was backed up at the scene for a while. Motorists were detoured onto Elmore Road to take Highway 70 North to work their way back to Highway 127 by way of Livingston Road/Industrial Boulevard or Northside Drive.

The highway patrol will release more information at a later time.
