Roane County Sheriff Jack Stockton says two males and one female were found deceased this morning in a home on the 1600 block of Mountain View Road south of Rockwood.

Stockton says a brother of one of the victims went to the home late yesterday to check on them and thought they were all sleeping. The person returned this morning. The three inside hadn’t appeared to have moved.

The brother immediately called 911.

Authorities say the home’s door was open.

Sheriff Stockton said foul play can’t be ruled out.

Stockton stated the preliminary investigation did not find any gunshots or trauma to the bodies.

Authorities have not released the names of the deceased or causes of death.

Law enforcement will reveal more information on the case at a later time.
