HIGH-SPEED PURSUIT ENDS WITH THE ARREST OF DELK
A high-speed pursuit in Cumberland County this past weekend landed a man in jail. Officers attempted to stop a vehicle driven by 41-year-old Dwight Adam Delk on Pomona Road for the deputy knowing Delk had no valid license. Delk reportedly sped up, turned on Highway 70 North and traveled at speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour. Delk turned onto Old Pomona Road, stopped in a driveway and fled on foot a short distance before he was caught. Delk was charged with evading arrest, driving on a revoked or suspended license and two counts of reckless endangerment.
