A high speed pursuit yesterday in eastern Cumberland County ended with an arrest. A deputy attempted to stop a vehicle driven by 28-year-old Zachary Dakota Thompson of Crossville for a window tint violation in Crab Orchard. The report states Thompson took off and reached speeds of 70 m.p.h. at one point. The chase ended at the 800 block of Market Street when Thompson got out of the rolling vehicle and ran towards a wooded area. He was later captured and charged with two counts of evading arrest and served two outstanding warrants.
