HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 90 OR BETTER TO SETTLE IN AT LEAST FOR THE NEXT FEW DAYS

High temperatures will be around 90 degrees or better for many in the next few days. The heat index (what it feels like outside) will hover around or just over 100 degree.

On the plateau, the National Weather Service says high temperatures will be near 90 for the next 7 days. The good side to that is a couple of those days, including tomorrow (Friday, July 17, 2020) brings a good chance of showers and thunderstorms.

In the valley, the high temperatures will hit the lower to mid-90’s for the next 7 days with the heat index pushing 100 or better.

If you are outdoors, make sure to take breaks, get in the shade when possible and drink plenty of fluids, preferably water. Be sure to check on the elderly, especially those without  air conditioning. Remember to provide pets and livestock with plenty of fresh water. Never leave children or pets inside vehicles unattended, especially in hot days.
