A multi-vehicle accident on I-40 in Cumberland County yesterday at the 324 mile marker resulted in numerous injuries. A summary of the crash is below the list of drivers and passengers involved (6 vehicles with 8 injuries):

2010 Honda Ridgeline  driven by 41-year-old Nicholas Lingerfelt of Kingsport, Tennesse – INJURED

Passenger – 36-year-old Ashleigh Lingerfelt of Kingsport, Tennessee – INJURED

2020 Nissan Kick operated by 31-year-old Ryan Kozlowski of Greenbrier, Tennessee

Passengers – 32-year-old Lauren Tullos of Nashville – INJURED, 8-year-old male – INJURED

2010 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by 31-year-old William Eichholtz of Knoxville

Driver #6 

2015 Chevrolet Tahoe operated by 34-year-old James Smith from Hendersonville, Tennessee

Passengers – 34-year-old Jessica Blum of Hendersonville, Tennessee and a 7-year-old male

Troopers says all injuries were considered non-life threatening.

Here is the account of the accident by the Tennessee Highway Patrol:

All vehicles involved were traveling east on I-40 in the left lane and approaching a bridge construction site. Vehicle #4, vehicle #5 and vehicle #6 were stopped in the left lane because of a traffic back up. Vehicle # 2 and vehicle #3 were slowing behind the other vehicles. Vehicle #1 was unable to stop and struck vehicle #2 in the rear end. Vehicle #2 was pushed into and struck vehicle #3. Vehicle #3 was pushed into vehicle #4. Vehicle #4 was pushed into vehicle #5. Vehicle #5 was pushed into vehicle #6.
