The Tennessee Highway Patrol responded to a single vehicle accident Monday on I-40 in Roane County. Trooper Nathaniel Crow says a 2013 Toyota RAV4 driven by Thomas C. Ellis, Jr. of Rockwood was traveling east near the 342 mile marker when he left the road. The car struck an earth embankment and rotated 180 degrees. Ellis sustained injuries in the crash.
