A Fiarfield Glade residence was totally destroyed by a fire early this afternoon. The Fairfield Glade Fire Department responded to the home at 18 Hunterwood Court. A cause of the fire is unknown at this time. According to the Fairfield Glade Police Department, no injuries were reported and no one was inside the residence at the time of the blaze.

Firefighters in Cumberland County were very busy today responding to mainly brush fires. From sunrise to mid-afternoon today, fire crews responded to the 9,000^th block of Highway 127 North, the 200^th block of Sundrop Lane, the 2,000^th block of Nocatee Trace and the 500^th block of Trails End for field fires and off of Interstate Lane for a dumpster fire.
