A body has been identified that was found in the Emory River off Riggs Chapel Road in Harriman Monday night. A fisherman discovered 32-year-old Wayne Alex Ruppe of Oakdale in the water and called authorities. The Roane County Sheriff’s Department is investigating. Ruppe was taken to U.T. Medical Center for an autopsy to determine his cause of death.More information will be released at a later time.
