IDENTITY RELEASED OF DRIVER KILLED IN ACCIDENT ON HIGHWAY 127 SOUTH

A single vehicle accident in Cumberland County this morning ended with a fatality. A 2009 Chevy Cobalt driven by 28-year-old Phillip Perry of Spring City was traveling south on Highway 127 South approaching Hillendale Road when he lost control and ran off the side of an embankment. The vehicle then went airborne and crashed into a utility pole resulting in power being knocked out in the area for a couple of hours. The Cobalt landed on the driver’s side leaving Perry trapped in the vehicle. He passed away from injuries sustained. Perry was restrained at the time of the crash.
