A Fairfield Glade resident says he is the victim of an identity theft scheme. The victim told police that he left for Texas on a vacation in April. When he returned a month later, he found a bill in the mail for a Walmart credit card that he did not own. During a phone conversation, the man learned that someone applied for the credit card in his name while he was gone and made a purchase on May 4 for $1196 for electronic equipment. Detectives contacted the store’s loss prevention personnel who are currently reviewing video for any suspect information.
