Local and state authorities are investigating a fatal shooting that took place in the Grimsley Hills area during the early morning hours of Sunday, July 5, 2026.

The Fentress County Sheriff’s Office confirmed they are actively working alongside the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) to determine the circumstances surrounding the deadly incident.

Details regarding the victim’s identity or potential suspects have not yet been released. Officials stated that the investigation remains ongoing and additional information will be made public as soon as it becomes available without compromising the case.
