IVEY ARRAIGNED IN DISTRICT COURT IN CONNECTION WITH U.S. CAPITOL RIOT

Bryan Wayne Ivey, age 28, of Crossville, was arraigned by way of teleconference yesterday afternoon in district court in Nashville in connection with the U.S. Capitol riots back in January. He was taken into custody yesterday morning in Cookeville. Ivey is charged with entering a restricted building, disorderly conduct in a restricted building, disorderly conduct in a Capitol building and parading, demonstrating or picketing in a Capitol building. Ivey waived his right to a preliminary hearing in the Middle District of Tennessee district court. He retained the right to request a hearing in the prosecuting district in Washington, D.C. Prosecutors did not request Ivey be detained before his trial but imposed several condition including restrictions on his use of social media.
