JAMESTOWN HOSPITAL NOT APPROVED TO RE-ENTER MEDICARE AND MEDICAID PROGRAM
Officials with Medicare and Medicaid said they are not approving Jamestown Regional Medical Center’s application to be re-entered into their program. The decision means the Rennova-owned hospital will remain banned from billing the federal government for patients if it were to re-open. The hospital was removed from getting federal payments back in June for reportedly failing to maintain compliance with the programs conditions of participation. Johnny Presley, owner of Rural Hospital & Clinics of America, LLC in Crossville, has made a formal offer of $1 million to buy Jamestown Regional Medical Center in an effort to get the facility operational again.
