JENNINGS CHARGED AFTER DISCHARGING FIREARM IN ROANE CO. HOME

A tense altercation in Rockwood Friday night ended with an arrest. Roane County deputies went to a residence on Shoreline Drive for a man with a firearm. A female witness told officers 68-year-old James Kelly Jennings had allegedly been drinking and threatened to harm himself. She stated Jennings fired the weapon several times before she was able to disarm him. Jennings was charged with aggravated reckless endangerment with a weapon and transported to the Roane County jail.
