JUVENILE ARRESTED IN KENTUCKY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL ARSON, $1 MILLION IN DAMAGE CA– USED

Several working employees inside a southern Kentucky elementary school escaped after a fire is reportedly deliberately set by a juvenile causing extensive damage. The fire occurred at the Gamaliel Elementary School at around 1:30 p.m. on Friday, June 2, 2017. Five employees inside the school at the time escaped without injury, according to Kentucky State Police. They say $1 million in damage was caused from the blaze. A juvenile female has been arrested and charged with arson 3rd degree, criminal mischief 1st degree and burglary 3rd degree, say the KSP. They say additional charges are possible. The girl has since been released into the custody of her parents. The investigation is ongoing. Gamaliel is 90 minutes travel time northeast of Nashville, Tennessee just over the Tennessee border in Kentucky.
