A Roane County juvenile was transported to an area hospital after being hit by a pickup truck on Long Drive in the Emory Gap area of Harriman. Officers said today (Thursday, December 28, 2017) that after the minor was struck yesterday (Wednesday, December 27, 2017), the suspect fled the area striking a mailbox on a different road then stopped the truck and ran off. Roane County authorities are working to identify the suspect in the hit and run. The condition or identity of the juvenile that was hit was not available.
