KIMBERLY PUTNAM ARRESTED ON DRUG CHARGES AFTER POLICE SERVE WARRANTS
A Crossville woman was taken into custody early Wednesday morning after police executing outstanding warrants discovered a large quantity of prescription medication in her possession without a valid prescription.
According to an incident report from the Crossville Police Department, officers were dispatched to a residence on East Center Town Drive at approximately 12:34 a.m. on October 29, 2026, to serve warrants on 39-year-old Kimberly Lynn Putnam.
Before officers arrived, dispatch reported that Putnam had been asked to leave the property and was seen getting into a 2015 Buick Enclave. Responding officers intercepted the vehicle shortly after it turned into a nearby parking lot on Dooly Street and initiated a traffic stop. Putnam was found sitting in the rear seat and complied with commands to exit the vehicle.
During a search conducted at the scene, officers recovered numerous sealed and opened packages of Buprenorphine and Naloxone (Sublingual Film), along with individual Buprenorphine hydrochloride and Carisoprodol pills located in her pockets and purse. When questioned, Putnam claimed she had prescriptions for the medications but was unable to provide proof.
Putnam was transported to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office intake facility, where a secondary search in better lighting yielded additional Suboxone films concealed inside her purse.
In total, Putnam was served with two outstanding warrants for failure to appear and faces new charges including simple possession of a Schedule III substance and simple possession of a Schedule IV substance.
