A Monday evening single-vehicle accident on Mans Hollow Road resulted in serious injuries and heavy emergency response.

According to South Roane County Fire Chief Mike Curtis, a vehicle registered in Hamilton County struck a power pole and overturned near the intersection with Decatur Highway (Highway 58) shortly after 6:15 p.m.

First responders, including the Roane County Sheriff’s Department, Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP), South Roane County Fire Department, and local medical personnel, rushed to the scene. Firefighters administered first aid to the lone occupant, who had managed to get out of the vehicle before crews arrived.

The driver was transported by ambulance to a Knoxville-area hospital with serious injuries. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

The incident remains under investigation by the THP, and authorities have not yet released the driver’s name or updated condition.
