KINGSTON CITY COUNCIL SETS WORK SESSION ON SELLING BEER AT PUBLIC EVENTS

The question of whether or not to allow alcoholic beverages, such as beer, at public events in Kingston, continues to be discussed by city officials. At a meeting earlier this week, the Kingston City Council decided to set up a public work session to discuss the issues pro’s and con’s. Council Member Tony Brown addressed the situation saying that “it’s time to vote on this one way or another.” Three members of the council, Tara Stockton, Don White and Sarah Humphreys are opposed to the idea. The issue was brought before the council after it was suggested to sell beer at the city’s annual 4th of July celebration.
