KINGSTON CITY COUNCIL TO MEET TUESDAY NIGHT

The Kingston City Council meets tonight in regular session at 6 p.m. at City Hall in Ladd Landing. On the agenda will be awarding the bid for the construction of the Fort Southwest Point amphitheater to Skilled Services LLC in the amount of $498,330, with alternates and deductions implemented to bring the total project cost below the $500,000 budget. Last year the city was awarded a half million dollar grant to construct the facility at no cost to the city.

The council also will look at adoption of a light-duty policy for workers within the city of Kingston recommended by the safety committee, and adoption of a resolution calling for a public hearing on the proposed annexation of a piece of property not specifically mentioned on the agenda, and to adopt that into the city and to provide City services for the property if approved. The public is welcome to attend.
