KINGSTON POLICE RESPOND TO TWO-VEHICLE CRASH NEAR WEIGEL’S

On Friday evening around 6:30 p.m., the Kingston Police Department, along with the fire department and an ambulance, responded to a two-vehicle crash near the entrance of Weigel’s at the intersection of Farmer Road and Galliher Road.

Upon arrival, the responding officer observed that the two vehicles had collided in the northbound lanes. Neither driver was injured.

According to the police report, the crash occurred when the driver of a 2017 Ford F-150 pickup truck, 44-year-old Brian Phillips of Rockwood, attempted to turn left from the southbound lane onto Farmer Road. Phillips allegedly pulled out in front of a northbound 2001 Dodge Dakota driven by 55-year-old Ronald Ramsey of Clinton.

The report indicates that Phillips will face charges for failure to yield. No other vehicles were involved.

The scene took some time to clear, causing traffic in the area to be slowed for approximately one hour.
