A Knoxville, Tennessee man is charged in the death of his 8-month-old son.

Knoxville Police were called to an apartment on Peyton Place Saturday, April 8, where the child was pronounced dead on the scene.

During an investigative interview, Nathan Wheeler confessed to purposely hitting the child more than once, leading to injuries that caused the child’s death.

Wheeler was charged with aggravated child abuse. He is being held in the Roger D. Wilson Detention Facility on a $1 million bond.
